Elk Herd

While on the job today, my husband drove past this large herd of elk.  He called me to let me know where they were so I drove approximately five miles from our home to see them and to see if I could get some pictures.  Luckily, they were just in a field not too far off from the side of the road.  Just guesstimating, I'd say there were over a hundred head.  What a spectacular sight to see.

Good size herd. Reminds me of hardware ranch in utah where the elk gather in the winter...Max

Hi Marsha!

Wow, that is a huge herd of elk! What great pictures, they really stand out with all the snow, and I love how fat and furry that look! What a fun way to spend an afternoon!

It's snowing here, has been all day. The weatherman said the wind was going to blow, but it's very quiet and still out there right now. It's a perfect day to stay in and stay dry!

Have a great day!

Hugs,
Barb

You really got some incredible photo of the elk herds. I loved them. It has just been raining here and ruining all the snow. However, we need every ounce of water we can get. Have a blessed week and stay safe and warm. Hugs~
