General Conference – Mackay Dam – River Puddle

My daughter and her family came to our home for Easter weekend.  We did a whole lot of General Conference, watching.  Well, a whole lot of General Conference with a whole lot of interruptions.  Our little grandson is the cutest, very active, little boy.  As far as Conference goes, there’s always the Ensign magazine that we subscribe to where we can read every talk given during the live television session.  We can always go to www.lds.org to watch the sessions, and we can watch sessions from this YouTube site.  As far as our grandson, we will only have this stage of his life for such a short time.  My, how the little ones grow up, so quickly.
On Saturday, after one of the Conference sessions, my daughter and I took a ride.  She wanted to see the reservoir so we headed up the road and drove across the dam.  We were surprised at the small amount of water there was below the dam.  What a difference a few months can make in the view of things.

With the lack of snow and rain we have received this winter (and the past few winters) and continuing, I hope we get enough moisture to fill the reservoir and the river.  The difference of the water coming from the reservoir into the river at this time of year was huge.

Sure hope this river puddle fills up and flows freely this summer.

Wow that's unreal. Been coming up there for years and I have never seen it like that. Pretty sad

Hi Marsha~

General Conference was wonderful this year, as always. It's so hard when you are little to sit still and listen to things that make absolutely no sense whatsoever! We just have to enjoy their cuteness!

The water situation is really scary! The let the water in the canals over the week-end, at least a month earlier than normal. I sure hope you folks get the water you need to fill the reservoir! Those pictures were pretty impressive!

Hugs,
Barb

Conference was so wonderful this year; I felt so spiritually uplifts. We have some struggles in our family and conference answered all the questions.
I love all the pictures you too of the dam. The shortage of water is a concern in many places.
We do need big prayers for big blessings.
