My daughter, Amber, and her husband, Corey, came to Mackay this weekend for her birthday. We, I guess I shouldn't speak for them, but "I", had a wonderful time. We did everything from loading hay on a hay wagon, riding the 4-wheeler, going to the county fair, riding around the reservoir and dam, having fish (Amber's favorite) fried in potato buds and lime, going to church, and eating up Pass Creek. I didn't get pictures of the rest, but I did get some photos up Pass Creek. Thoroughly enjoyed my weekend. The Lord gives me so many Ah moments that I can't even begin to explain..................

"You Been Farming Long?"
My husband, Evan, has a brother, Brent, who lives in Texas and while on business, was able to come to our home and visit for a few hours. While here, Brent went outside with my husband while he changed the water on the crops and I looked out the window to capture this moment: Even though their backs were facing the camera, I took the shot because it reminded me so much of an older picture (Evan's father had) of two little boys all decked out in their little overalls, standing side-by-side. The caption on the picture said: "You Been Farming Long?" Can't you just picture this with Evan and his brother..........deck them out in overalls and it could have been those two little boys all over again.

Share Your Testimony...Share Your Light!
I am continually looking for ideas and items I can use for handout for my Young Women's class. This past Sunday my lesson was on Testimonies. It just so happened that I had purchased some credit card lights off of the Internet and had them in my little storage of things to use for handouts when I came across the following saying: "Share Your Testimony....Share Your Light"! That's it - Joy - I had found the perfect idea to use my little lights on. The lights are flat, the size of a credit card (do you suppose that is where the name "credit card lights" came from? - Ha!) and when you pop up the light, they actually emit light. Some things just come together, no credit of my own, for HIS PURPOSES!
This little light also gives off a fair amount of light. My test being the broom closet. I have this thing for lights and every time I want to test one, I go to the broom closet, wheel out the vacuum, step inside, shut the door, and walla............Let there be light!

Mackay Reservoir Sunset
Last night after dinner, I went to the Custer County Fair and from there I decided to go riding around to see if there was anything I could capture with my camera. I ended up driving across the top of the Mackay Reservoir Dam.
I went to the end, turned around and was going to head for home when I decided to sit on top of the dam and take pictures of the sun as it slowly reflected it's beauty upon the water. I almost left when it was setting thinking that nothing was going to happen because the sun seemed to bright, but I just kept sitting it out and waiting and to my surprise...............well, see for yourself. Each picture depicts the sun setting lower and lower and...............................Ah-h-h!
