Once again, the Hoover’s outdid themselves in entertaining the entire town. Children of all ages talk about the Hoover home at Halloween. It’s the place everyone wants to visit to get their annual scare. I actually went a little early to get some pictures before everyone started doing their trick-or-treating. When you first arrive, you are required to pass through a “Tunnel (Cave) of Terror” before you reach the door to get your treat.
Outside the tunnel/cave….
This next picture is of a ????? It doesn’t exactly have a name. Mr. Hoover made this huge ????? out of many bones from different animals. The fingers were actually made out of ribs from another animal skeleton. How does he think of these things? Look at the feet…Ewwww. The only part of this ????? that isn’t authentic is the skull.
Ready to adventure the inside?…..Let’s go. Remember, these were taken during the daylight hours but at night, there are even more things, live things, lurking inside!
Oops, sorry about the blurry picture that comes next. I was taking pictures when a huge spider decided to make it’s move towards me. Scared me, just a bit.
This is how the picture was supposed to look, after calming myself down.
The next set of pictures are of things all around the cave and front of the Hoover home.
This is the site you see when you drive up to the Hoover home on Halloween night. It’s an enter if you dare, thing! Sitting there trying to get a photo without people entering was not an easy task. In between taking pictures, all you could hear was a lot of screaming going on.
These next few pictures are the beginning of it all. You know Halloween is coming when you start seeing birds appearing on top of the Hoover home. Mr. Hoover made all these birds himself and from the street, they look so real. The main bird on the chimney stays up all year round and at Christmas time, he wears a Santa hat.
To the right of the Hoover home is a large field that Mr. Hoover has transformed into a grave yard. There are over 35 grave markers.
Quite the Halloween home, don’t ya think!

I'm so glad you posted this, because I had to run through everything so fast nobody got too scared. I'm happy to report that all of my kidlets made it through the tunnel without any tears!
That is a whole bunch of work for Halloween. Do they go all out for other holidays to? To be honest, that is too scary for me. The baby eating itself? Death by rats? UGH! How did they dream these things up. I suppose this is why I stay away from horror movies.
Totally AWESOME!!!
....and yet revolting at the same time....
wow what an imagination. That is better than the ones down here that you have to pay for. I don't go to them myself ha ha ha. This one was enough for me. It is great the way he makes it different each year. Max
