Is That A Llama

This morning as I got out of bed and made my way to the bathroom, I looked out the window and there, way down in the lower field, stood a llama.  Can you see it?  Look closely.
Now mind you, when I saw the llama, I had not yet put on my glasses (which I really don't need).  I could have sworn it was a llama, or something like that.  In the photo below, I outlined him in red so you could be able to see him too.  It is a llama, isn't it?  Or, maybe a baby camel!
Oh well, at least I amused myself a little this morning.

Deer Population

I think our little town has more deer population this year, than people.  Everywhere you look and no matter what street you drive down, you will see deer.  I usually take my rides somewhere around 4pm to see the most deer, but they are actually out at all times.
This little fella was hiding right next to the road.  Do you think he was thinking....hmmmm, if I don't look at her, maybe she won't even notice me hiding here in the willows.
But, as you might have guessed, the mamma was not too far away from her little one.
As I was headed home, this deer stood right in the middle of the street, only moving to the side as I passed.  They are so calm, they seem to be more like pets than wildlife.

February 2018 Visiting Teaching Handout

For the month of February, the principle asked of us is to get to know the sisters we visit teach and to get to know their families.
Lucy Mack Smith, mother of the Prophet Joseph Smith, expressed her feelings in 1842 about how Latter-day Saint sisters in the newly established Relief Society should feel about one another.  She said, "We must cherish one another, watch over one another, comfort one another and gain instruction, that we may all sit down in heaven together."
What a powerful statement............cherish, watch over, comfort and gain instruction. WOW!
Another statement given is: The sisters we visit may be "strangers" as we begin our service, but as we get to know them and their families, our desire will increase to "bear one another's burdens, that they may be light" and have our "hearts knit together in unity and in love one towards another."
Think of visiting teaching as not just visiting teaching but as VISITING TEACHING...that we may get to know, love and cherish one another.
The very first statement for the Visiting Teaching Principle is this: Visiting teaching is about sincerely coming to know and love each sister so that we can help strengthen her faith and give service.
I know that through visiting teaching, I have truly come to know and love the sisters I visit.  I have gained friendships and through their faith and service, it is ME that has been abundantly blessed!
