Provo City Center Temple, Brick Oven and Jane Eyre

A few months ago, my daughter that lives in Utah called and told me to save the week of the 20th and come to Utah and play.  She kept me hopping the entire time…………………….literally. 
I arrived in Utah late afternoon on the 20th.  My daughter had tickets and plans for that evening but didn’t tell me what we were doing.  In our travels that evening, we drove past the Provo City Center Temple.  I wanted to take lots of pictures but thought (thought being the key word) I had left my camera battery in my luggage, which I was thinking was somewhere else………….long story short, I only took 3 pictures with plans to come back at a later time……and, due to time, that didn’t get to happen this trip.

As we were headed to the activity we would be doing that evening, we decided to stop at the “Brick Oven” first, to get some pizza.  I used to frequent The Brick Oven when I was in my twenties.  It’s definitely hard to beat their pizza. The only difference is that it used to be called Heaps a Pizza and they have done some remodeling. 

My pizza of choice is their garlic chicken.  Oh my…..taste bud explosion.  I love this pizza.  We actually went their twice.

After we were done with our pizza, we traveled to the Hale Center Theatre, in Orem, Utah.

My excitement level rose…………I love live theater.  Our showing was for Jane Eyre.  Love the movie – Loved the live play!

My mother/daughter evening was totally worth traveling to Utah!

New Bathroom Fixtures

Remember this event happening back in November of this year?!!

Well, as a result of this event, we used a 7-gallon water jug on our bathroom counter for 5 months, getting refills from our tub. 

We had some serious water problems going on that kicked our water pump off and on continually, had a 1-hour window of water usage for a few days, ruined our yard, cut off our cold water supply, ruined our vintage bathroom fixtures………………….ETC!
After what seemed like an eternity, we finally got some new bathroom fixtures.  Honestly, I would have never made it as a Pioneer!

LED Diamond Water Droplets

I noticed when I looked out my windows this morning that it had rained a bit.  When I looked at the fence, it was so pretty…..it looked like little diamond jewels were hanging from each level of wire on the fence.  Of course the camera didn’t capture the beauty as I saw it, but each water droplet reflected the sun so brightly that it also looked like little LED lights were strung along the fence.

As I turned to head back into the house, the view of the hills and mountain being topped with a mist of low-lying clouds was so beautiful.  YES….a beautiful, crisp, filled with God’s wonders, DAY!

Fresh Baked Bread and a Field of Deer

Lately I've gotten a little behind in making bread so I got busy and made three loaves this week.  There is no comparison in taste between homemade bread and store bought bread.............. and.......this is a BIG AND.....there are no preservatives or artificial flavorings in homemade bread.
Looks like I will be making more bread tomorrow because I just gave away this loaf.

While making bread or anytime I am working in the kitchen, I am always looking out the windows to see what I will see for the day.  Today, it was deer.......37 to be exact.  My windows were pretty grungy from the rain so I thought it would be best to go outside and get some video footage.  It didn't take the deer long to realize I was standing there, and off they went.
