High School Friends Visit – Part 2…Continued…Custer Ghost Town

After leaving Bayhorse Ghost Town, my friends and I headed to our original destination……Custer Ghost Town.  I have been to this ghost town three or four times previously and it’s always worth going to see.  I really enjoy ghost towns…….wouldn’t it be fun to travel the United States, touring all the ghost towns?!  Like the previous blog, touring Bayhorse Ghost Town, this blog also has many photos.  And like Bayhorse, this ghost town is in a beautiful setting…..mmmmmm.   It’s hard to pick which photos to post.  Enjoy the ghost town tour.

High School Friends Visit – Part 2

On the second day of my friends visit, we headed out to go to the Custer Ghost Town.  On the way, one of my friends pointed out a sign that said “Bayhorse Ghost Town.  I’d never heard of this ghost town before so we turned around and went to see what it was all about.  Here is the information that Wikipedia has on the town.

There are lots of sites on the internet telling about the town.  More interesting information can be find HERE.

The following is a plaque/picture that was posted at the ghost town.  Looks like it was a really thriving place at one time.

They had plaques and pictures all along the way telling you of the history of this place.  Following are some pictures we took as we walked around the path.

We thought this mountain was interesting.  It looks like a man is climbing up the hill side.

 

This place was such a beautiful spot nestled between the mountains and trees.  If it wasn’t for the harsh winters (I’m sure they had), I think I could actually live here.

Little Stinker

As I was fixing our evening meal last night, (I would say supper, but a long story) I looked out the window just in time to see this little skunk running along the fence.  Little stinker, anyways.  Hope he doesn’t decide to take up residency!
